Audiovox’s compact and economical AXDVD1 DVD player will send clear, clean audio/video signals to to the monitors and receivers in your system — perfect for an RV or bus, for example. And Audiovox includes almost all the connection cables you’ll need, as well as the hardware for your installation.

Disc/SD/USB Playback

Disc Compatibility: The Audiovox AXDVD1 Automotive DVD Player features a slot-load disc mechanism and supports playback of DVD and CD discs.

CD CD-Audio, CD-R, CD-RW

Note: Like DVD, BD uses region codes. The region code on your disc must match the region code on your player, otherwise the disc will not play. This unit is DVD region A and DVD region 1. DVD Disc uses the Advanced Access Content System (AACS) to prevent unauthorized recording of copyrighted material.

SD-Card Slot: The Audiovox AXDVD1 features a front-panel SD-card slot for playback of music, video, and photo files stored on a SD memory card.

USB Port: The Audiovox AXDVD1 Automotive DVD Player features a front-panel USB (type-A) port for connection of USB mass storage class devices. The unit’s USB port can be used to playback music, video, and photo files stored on a USB mass storage class device formatted in FAT16/32. USB portable audio players that can be charged via USB will be charged when plugged into the front-panel USB port (max. 500mA).

MP3/AVI/JPEG Playback: The AXDVD1 supports playback of MP3 music files, AVI video files, and JPEG photo files recorded onto disc, USB, or SD card.

Off Insert w/ Auto Playback + Auto Reload: When a disc is inserted with the power off, the unit will automatically power up and begin playback. If the ejected disc is not removed within 15 seconds, the disc is automatically inserted again into the loading slot to protect it from dust.

Screen Saver/Auto Off: When you leave the player in Stop mode for more than 20 minutes, the Screen Saver is activated (when turned-on in menu). At the end of 30 minutes without any user interaction, the player switches off automatically.

Mounting Options: The Audiovox Automotive DVD Player can be installed under the seat, in the glove box, or in the trunk area. The DVD player should be installed in a horizontal position with no more than a 30° angle. Four machine screws are supplied to attach the two included metal L-brackets to the player for proper installation. The included self-tapping screws secure the brackets and player in your vehicle.

AV Connections

Front-Panel AV Input: The Audiovox AXDVD1 features a front-panel 3.5mm AV input for connection of an external audio/video device; such as your game system or digital audio/video player. A 3.5mm-to-RCA AV adapter cable is provided.

A/V RCA Output: The Audiovox Automotive DVD Player is fitted with a standard A/V RCA output, which consists of a composite video output and a stereo RCA output.

Coaxial Digital Output: The AXDVD1 is equipped with a coaxial digital output for connection to a 5.1ch digital surround processor.

Front-Panel + Remote Control

Front-Panel Control: The Audiovox AXDVD1 Automotive DVD Player features basic playback controls along its front-panel. There are Power, Play/Pause, Stop, Previous/Next, and Eject buttons along the front-panel.

IR Remote Control (w/ external IR Receiver: The Audiovox Automotive DVD Player comes with an IR remote control for wireless operation of the unit. Because the Audiovox AXDVD1 will be installed out-of-sight in most cases, an IR receiver is included. The 15′ IR receiver cable is connected to the 3.5mm remote input on the rear-panel of the player. Make sure to install the IR receiver in a location where the infrared beam will not be blocked or interrupted when using the player’s remote control.

Video Settings: Depending on the type of monitor you have connected, you may want to adjust the screen size setting to 16:9 Full, 16:9 Pillarbox, 4:3 PanScan, or 4:3 Letterbox. You can also adjust the brightness, contrast, hue, saturation, and sharpness of the unit’s video output.

FF/RW + Slow Motion + Frame Advance: The DVD player offers fast forward & reverse playback. Available speeds included 2, 4, 8, and 20x. You can also choose slow motion playback and choose between 1/3, 1/4, 1/5, 1/6, or 1/7x speeds. When a DVD is in Pause mode, you can choose to advance the video one frame at a time.

Repeat/Random/Program: When listening to music, you can shuffle the order of the tracks. You can also repeat a chapter, title, or all tracks. The A-B Repeat function performs a point-to-point repeat playback on a DVD.  In Program Play mode, you can play music tracks in a desired sequence.

Zoom: You can choose to zoom in to a scene. The available zoom ratios are 2x, 3x, and 4x. When you are zoomed in, you can pan the image.

Dynamic Range: Dynamic Range allows you to make the loud parts of a movie’s soundtrack quieter than they would be in the theater, without making the dialogue of the actors any quieter.

Parental Control: This player has a built-in parental control lock feature to prevent unauthorized persons from viewing restricted disc content. Parental Control allows you to limit the content of movie playback from Kid Safe to Adult. Once setup up, the Parental Lock is released only by entering a 4-digit pass-code.
